What are HGV 6 weekly checks on our Grab Hire trucks?

To ensure our vehicles are compliant, we regularly undertake HGV safety inspections, they are also a legal requirement. They are often referred to and known as HGV 6-weekly inspections, although the interval period between these inspections can vary depending on the age, condition, use and mileage of the vehicle. If a vehicle is more than 12 years old the DVSA advise that the 6 weekly inspection gap is adhered to and should not go any longer.

The HGV 6-week inspection is a preventative maintenance check which will cover all aspects of our Grab Hire and Tipper fleet, highlighting small defects before they become dangerous, ensuring that our vehicles could pass its MOT at any time.
