Grit / Sharp Sand

Our Grit / Sharp sand is a quarried 0/6mm sand and is widely used and versatile for many applications such as paving base layers, mortar and concrete when mixed with cement. Our Grit Sand is our most popular sand for delivery in Manchester once our Limestone MOT Type 1 or Recycled MOT Type 1 has been applied beneath as a sub base.

Given it’s angular nature, the sharp sand allows good drainage and ensure this is maintained. Depending on the quarry of source and being a natural product, it’s colour may vary.
