I started with a trip straight to a customers site in central Manchester at 6am delivering a split load of Limestone MOT Type 1 and Cable Sand, which he had pre loaded the night before for our electric utility infrastructure customer. The morning involved numerous locations across Greater Manchester, into Stockport and Manchester Airport for a couple of our top account customers, jobs ranged from delivery of aggregates offloaded with the grab by backfilling our Mayo Stone ENA TS 97-1 sand over high voltage cables and several loads of muck away loaded, transported and compliantly disposed of for further processing and recycling. The day progressed quickly and throughout gave a true insight into the challenges our drivers have and overcome daily from heavy traffic to site congestion.

We finished the day with an evening last minute emergency call out in Manchester City Centre for a Utility contractor who required a delivery of aggregates and removal of inert by our Grab Hire truck. The job was within a road closure making the job safer due to no pedestrians or traffic not to mention within the middle of a film set which was temporarily paused whilst the works carried out.
